About the role

We are looking for an experienced cook to join our restaurant kitchen in Kingsbury on a full-time basis. Our restaurant is a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected, and this is a chance to become an integral part of our unique organisation.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes
• Support the training and supervision of kitchen staff
• Inspect food items to ensure freshness and quality standards are met
• Portion meals, plate dishes and finish them with sauces, gravies and garnishes
• Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments
• Prepare meals to meet specific dietary requirements
• Assist with menu planning and estimating ingredient quantities
• Monitor and adjust the temperatures of ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment
• Add appropriate seasoning throughout the cooking process

About you

• More than 1 year of experience working as a cook
• Certificate III or higher qualification
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
