Senior Chef

About the role

Little H Cafe Duncraig is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Chef to join our team. We serve a simple, quality-focused all-day à la carte brunch menu, and we want someone who takes pride in their food, works well in a fast-paced cafe environment and helps keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. This role is based in person at the cafe.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook dishes to a consistent standard, with attention to quality and presentation
• Manage food preparation and kitchen organisation during service
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste
• Support and assist with the training of junior team members where required
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service

About you

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
• Breakfast and brunch cooking experience preferred, but not essential
• Strong cooking skills and a good understanding of food safety
• Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure
• A positive attitude and a team-focused approach
